Garden space within the density of the twenty first century is a high premium and the domestic urban oasis is meant to feel larger than it is. Lion’s landing explores the diagonality of figure and ground to establish a space of the Garden that elongates and attenuates its appearance from multiple view points.

The space organized through program steps outward into the garden establishing an off-kilter order and syncopated speed of movement. The guard-rail screen establishes a rotated orthographic grid as such when passing by in the garden one is caught by its moire-effect, effectuating a double-hatch from a single diagonal.
